Marble Floor Lamps

A marble base lowers the centre of gravity of a floor lamp; even long, curved arm designs stand without the worry of tipping over. White Carrara tones give a simple, bright look, black and green marbles create contrast, while brown and beige marbles build a warm harmony with rooms dominated by wood and linen.

Marble floor lamps are used next to a reading chair, beside a sofa or in an empty corner to complete the general light. For reading, the light should come from behind the shoulder and the bottom of the shade should sit slightly above eye level when seated. Adjustable and arm designs let you turn the light in the direction you want.

Marble is a porous stone; wipe it with a damp cloth and avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners. The pattern of the stone differs in every piece.
