Telescopic and Adjustable Table Lamps

In a telescopic table lamp the stem is made of sliding tubes, so the lamp can be extended or shortened to bring the light closer to the desk or raise it. Articulated and arm designs fold forwards, sideways or upwards, while swivel and adjustable heads let you turn the light towards a book, a keyboard or a drawing.

On a desk, light coming from the side opposite your writing hand avoids shadows: for right-handed people the lamp goes on the left of the desk. For reading and detailed work, a light colour of 3000–4000 K is easier on the eyes during tasks that need attention; on bedside tables and in living room corners, warm light of 2700–3000 K is more comfortable.
