Alabaster Chandeliers and Alabaster Lighting

Alabaster is a translucent stone; cut into thin slices it lets light through, and its veins become visible when the light is on. That is why an alabaster chandelier is a sculptural object when unlit and a warm, diffused light source when lit. Alabaster is a natural material: the colour and vein pattern of every shade is different, and these differences are the character of the stone, not flaws. Clean it with a dry, soft cloth, as it is sensitive to water and chemical cleaners.
